Duncan Borrowman welcomes Cutty Sark donation12.30.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 25th Jun 2008
Old Bexley & Sidcup Liberal Democrat candidate Duncan Borrowman has welcomed the gift of £3.3 million to the Cutty Sark trust by Israeli shipping magnate Sammy Ofer. Duncan Borrowman said: "As a child growing up in Bexley the Cutty Sark was always a strong part of my local heritage. Mr Ofer's donation is incredibly generous and will save this great ship for future generations to enjoy."
